On a slightly related note, I bought a pen on Amazon a few days ago and I received the wrong color. I emailed them, asking them what I should do, and Amazon basically said, "Oh, we're so sorry. Unfortunately, this was sold by a third-party seller and their inventory is constantly changing. We will not be able to get you the correct pen you ordered. However, we will fully refund your money and allow you to receive free one-day shipping on your next order. As for the pen you received, you may keep it to do with it what you please."

 

Woo-hoo! Free pen! It may not be the color I wanted, but it's still the same pen.

yeah, they are really good with that. Most times I keep what was sent and the eyes send another next day shipping.

I have yet to have a bad experience with amazon on any purchases.

My pleasure. As if it isn't bad enough that we poor so and so's who live here have to pay 20% VAT. Now we're apparently trying to charge it for non-residents who live in the USA

I thought it was only going to be a converter moral of the story is if a deal seems to good to be true it often is, you went into it knowing it was probably a converter.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
