Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Sorry, I got side tracked while posting. These are two of the new KWZIs.

Iron Gall Gold and Iron Gall Green-Gold

Is this the same IG Gold that has been review in another thread awhile back (the one called "Old Gold"? And is the IG Green-Gold new (and does it have a number or just a name)?

Someone local to me was putting a group buy together, but the deadline for getting him the list was Monday. I wish I had known about the IG Green Gold before that -- I would have definitely gotten it instead of one of the ones I did tell him. So when's the next FPN NA Group Buy? January? That ink has JUST gotten added to the short list  (still trying to make up my mind about the IG Gold).

Man, FPN just keeps getting MORE and MORE dangerous.... I tell new people what evil enablers we all are, and then fall right down the rabbit hole myself..... :headsmack:

KWZI #83 - IG Gold is new. The one you see being reviewed on other threads is KWZ # 75 - IG Green Gold.

KWZI #57 - Old Gold is a standard ink and not Iron Gall.

As is the case with Konrad... surprises and new breathtaking inks are being brewed constantly...

You people are truly evil. Now with all of these and actually having some in hand I'm liking KWZI inks as much as Sailor inks. Sigh, at least these ones are cheaper.....

These new colors look great..

Any hints when they will be available? Posts like this result in the "oh man, how do I get some of this color" :)

Thanks for posting

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
