I like blue green, or green blue either way. I am probably in the minority in that way. There aren't many colors I don't like, which can be tricky. Some inks are more appealing than others, thank goodness. I have enough now that I'm pretty picky on any new ones that I purchase. I have less pinkish or middle of the road red. I don't care for red with pink in it either. I prefer a darker red. Now for green, I like the full spectrum on that color.... it is my favorite color.

I know a judge of a very important court who claims that wearing a long toga is the best part of his job, because he can wear whatever he wants under his 'dress', what makes him secretly happy :)

Makes total sense to me. My dad was a judge for 16 years and I'm pretty sure he ONLY wore tee shirts and jeans.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I don't like the family of greens the Noodler's and Blackstone fall into, but the others all look good.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy.       I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
