I see what you mean. It looks as though the top section of the feed has broken off. It may not affect how the pen performs but 75 nibs are available if you look for them. Make sure that it's the early type, later wide section will not fit.

Thanks for your help and understanding what I mean, I don't think the top section of the feed has broken, there is no crash, so I think it is not feed of Parker 75 =)

Once again, I would send you my great thanks!!!

The imprint 66 looks right. See how it writes and report back. In my opinion the 75 is one of the best pens Parker ever produced.

Looks like the tip of the feed broke or was trimmed for some reason. It makes no sense that someone would go to the trouble to fabricate a fake Parker 75 feed, which are commonly available, and then also make it the wrong length. The obvious explanation is that it was shortened for some reason.

Actually...

The pen I got the unit out of looks NOTHING like a 75 (see below), but the unit will fit into the older sort of 75 section.

That being said, I think it's just an unfortunately defaced authentic Parker feed in the OP.

Now, for those who wonder what a Rainbow (or Changhong) 811 looks like when it's got its dentures in:

Do you think it is feed of another pen (like Rainbow 811)?

Thanks for you help and attention!!!

Did you look at the whole feed?

...and I'll expand on the thought-- the impression of the point size indication looks very true to type, as shown in your first pictures. If you're REALLY worried about it being a fake, try polishing it a lot. If it's a fake, steel should show through pretty quickly, because a fake isn't going to be gold and also won't get much in the way of plating.

It does look like there's a little bit of a droop on the point of your object, too, which suggests to me that a blow from above bent the point and snapped the feed; the point has been bent back to roughly the right shape, but there wasn't any fixing the feed. My suggestion is to fill the pen, see if this causes flow problems. That's a lot more distance from feed to tip than the pen was built for, but it's not impossible that the pen won't care. If it works, and you're not angry at having paid whatever you paid for a pen with a damaged but functional part, then call it a day. If you are angry, or it doesn't work, then get on the vendor's back about it.

Here is a close up pic.

Thanks a lot for your advice. =)

I will contact the seller and complaint about this problem, in my opinion there is the most trouble with this pen, if I have another feed of Parker 75, it doesn't matter with me, but in fact I don't. =) furthermore, in Vietnam it is difficult to buy some parts of Parker pens. I must wait until someone have a broken pen with an available feed for selling =)

Once again thanks for your help so much!!!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
