With 2 rings and if their proportions do not lie this fountain pen is a 1941 (first appearance in 1940) Non Blue Diamond $3,95 Sacless Duofold Sub-Deb Maroon mod. 234.

As pointed Florida Blue.

I disagree. In my opinion, the Senior and Ingenue would have sported the bottom blind cap jewel; until 1942. He's got a Junior, which wouldn't have had a Blue Diamond on the clip or a jeweled blind cap.

Can you attach a photo of a "Junior" of this type? Is it possible that you have confused with Junior but ringed laminated vacs?

I do not know the model Junior of these sacless longitudinal striated -"Duovac" or "Vacufold"-. The two I know with double ring was called one Sacless Duofold and, other, Sacless Duofold Sub-Deb as you can see in these  different docs but not "Junior".

Well unfortunately I had to put this pen on Ebay. My dog gave birth to 9 puppies and I had to run her to the vet, so money is extremely tight. Can't afford to get this pen fixed up and it's a little small for my hands anyway. Thank you all for the help.

Of course I am not confusing a striped Duofold with a Vacumatic!  :P

Junior is used sometimes as a generic term I guess, but technically yes, the two band is a sub-deb.

Back to the point I was trying to make. He's got the correct blind cap. The two-banded version of this Duofold from 1941 would have had a metal speed line filler and plain, un-jeweled, blind cap.
