Hello Everyone!

 

After talking it through with a few of the mods I've decided to hold a group but for the Pen & Message inks by Sailor.

 

Because the ink is being purchased through a forwarding service there is no way to know the current stocks of the colors and so priority will be given to those who reserve their bottles first. In addition there will be a cap of 120 bottles of ink no matter what because I won't have time to deal with any more.

 

The cost of the ink will vary due to scaling rates for international shipping. The price to reserve a bottle of ink will be $29 plus shipping to you once the ink is in the states. If the cost of the ink plus shipping to me falls bellow $29 a bottle the difference will either be refunded or applied to shipping to you (your choice).

 

The group buy will be open, unless the bottle limit is reached, until 11:59 PM Friday, the 26th of September.

The 50mL Sailor tall glass bottles. If you've seen photos of the Bung Box or other Sailor custom ink bottles you've seen it.

Any benefit in this if we're outside the US? Probably not, as we'll get hit with shipping twice...

Unfortunately the USPS has raised their prices on international shipping, so even unless you order 10+ bottles personally it will be prohibitively expensive and at that point you might as well just order directly through a forwarding service. :(

I keep debating on that Red and that Denim.....

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Perhaps, we'll just have to take them one at a time. Until I've spent enough to buy a Pelikan M1000 Raden with all the Sailor inks. :P

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning.
