Thanks Kandan, :D Good news indeed.

You already know that you are my "Go To" guy for personalized gifts.. :)

I only hope that you include an option for Jowo nibs (only nibs, not nib+feed, or section) for your lower priced models too. Maybe at an extra price ?

The Wality nibs that you supply generally, need a bit of working.. (figure of 8s on midum & fine grit papers)..

(For those who don't know, Kandan here is an excellent craftsman and has helped me with 4 pens so far. Very happy customer)

Dear Sir,

We have Jowo Screw in nib unit and Schmidt Screw in nib unit which are not both compatible for the same pen.

We have Bock Nibs as separate nibs and not as screw in nib units.

Dear Mr.Drone Sir ,

Do you mean "Inner cap" as "Cap Liners"?

Hello, Yes, a cap liner inserted into the cap. The cap liner protects the barrel when posting and seals the nib and feed when the pen is capped.

Also another question:

Can we get an ebonite feed that will fit the #6 Jowo nib? I want to put a #6 flex nib on the pen and heat set the feed. I find plastic feeds will not supply enough flow to keep up with the flex nib.

Thank You, David

Dear Mr. David Sir,

We have inner cap incoroporated in Design itself for all of our models.

We don't have separate plastic cap liner for our pens.

I need to check our ebonite feeds . I will update you.

Dear Mr. Deepakbhatia Sir,

Thanks for your words. The cost would be 83$ including US shipping.

I have a a Ranga Duofold, the kind with an Indian-made nib, ebonite feed and eyedropper fill only. I think what the above reply means is that there is no need for a plastic insert, as the design of the cap (including a fairly tight seal on the threads) renders it unnecessary. Hope that helps clear up the confusion!

Sorry, meant also to say, my Ranga Duofold (check the FPN site for a review) has no problems with the nib drying out. With a Goulet (JoWo) EF nib rammed in there, it's a really decent pen!

Hello and thanks for the clarification. But it does not address my question. Allow me to clarify:

I am not so concerned about the nib/feed drying out without a cap liner. But I am concerned that without a plastic cap liner there are two things that can become a problem:

1. The cap posts directly to the barrel, and therefore since the barrel and the cap (which is made of the same material as the barrel, but the inside of the cap is not as smooth and also has cut threads to mate with the section). when posted the cap will eventually mar the barrel where the cap meets the barrel.

2. Since there is no cap liner or cap-lip band, repeated posting will eventually cause the cap-lip to crack due to stress.

A plastic liner prevents these problems when the cap is posted.

Thanks again, David

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
