Looks like fantastic work.

What are "goldnibs" like for just grinding factory nibs with adequate tipping material (stubs, cursive italics)?

Like say a Music or a B or BB. Not retipping, just an edged regrind.

goldnibs did a fantastic job last year retipping my agatha christie (one of the tines broke off) and giving me a 1.0 stub for 60 euros plus 9 euros shipping to the US. took them ten days. would recommend them anytime!

this website doesn't seem to load for me from Australia, seem to be my end or website down? Wouldn't mind having a few of the old pens re-tipped seeing how much you lot seem to be enjoying the new points :P

i emailed goldnibs and they emailed me back right away to confirm that, for the time being, they have closed their repair service (the word they used was "suspended" so i'm hoping they'll reopen sometime).

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning.
