Jetpens Is The Best

JetPens + Goulets . . . ALMOST makes up for losing ArtBrown in NYC. I miss being able to just go buy a bottle of ink on a whim.

But damn, the fast shipping + service on both those sites makes me a happy camper!!!

Thanks for telling me that!

I was looking for a good online store, and it looks like that I found it.

I haven't bought anything from Jet Pens yet but I love their site (and I'm a sucker for a cute logo). I'm filling a cart with a Pilot Prera and some J Herbin inks!

Kudos to JetPens.

Keep in mind too that your integrity probably saved them a lot of money. You deserve a pat on the back as well.

I'm another JetPens and Goulet's junkie. Great prices at both sites, excellent CR, and fast shipping. Love them both!

And for a brick and mortar experience, I'm finally going to make it over to Fahrney's this week while in DC on business.

I have placed a handfull or so of orders with Jetpens and have never had a problem. I am a sucker for the free shipping with $25+ orders. In fact I am just about to place another order because my daughter needs a dance journal and I like the look of the excompta refillables. Since I get their orders quickly I should have no problem receiving it in time for school. The Japanese gadgets and manga items are intriguing as well. Since my other daughter likes manga drawing we spend a lot of time looking over the website and making wishlists.

Jetpens is up there in the top 3 companies I order pens from.

Now if I could just get them to carry Noodler's Ink again...

If they are as good as Goulet Pens then I will certainly have to check them out!

I love Jetpens for their gel pens, mechanical pencils, and related supplies. Don't use them as much for fountain pens, but just because there are so many options (Goulet, Anderson Pens, I Sell Pens, ....).

Yes yes yes! They'd be my #1 if they did.

I am impressed. I placed my order in time for their Monday opening (Tuesday early morning my time); order received in my hands on Thursday lunchtime (my time) which is Wed afternoon their time. Order processed ,travelled almost 12,700 kms and delivered in about 52 hours. Unbelievable!

I love JetPens; quality and unique products. I'm in the process of putting together an order for some Sailor Nano ink and a .35 mm engineering pencil - tough to find items.

I wish they still carried a very unique twist pen and pencil case from Foca that I purchased from them awhile back.

I am going to check out Jet Pens. I have been buying from Goulet but have had a couple of bad experiences there that have already been rehashed on here (and I am currently in that "kid in a candy store" phase, pretty new to fountain pens and spending a fair amount each month). I'll make my next purchase from Jet Pens, and appreciate the recommendation.

I've ordered from Jetpens before and never had issues. Glad to hear so many positive things about them, I will try and order from them in the future.

Just figured I'd chime in - JetPens was the only place in North America I could find that carried 1.18mm leads for a vintage MB mechanical pencil I bought recently. I bought two containers of 1.18mm HB leads (pictured in glass vials(!?!)) and a bottle of Iroshizuku Take-Sumi ink to make the $12.95 shipping cost to Canada worth it.

Couple of notes about my experience:

- the shipping cost didn't vary depending on the number of items or weight, which is a + (I can load up my order with lots of stuff!) and a - (I doubt the 2 vials of lead would have cost $12.95 to send)

- the package arrived within a week (which is pretty good for West Coast U.S. -> East Coast Canada) and there was no hassle from Customs

- the contents of the package arrived safely and the amount of bubble wrap that was used will keep my colleagues in the office destressed for at least a month!

FYI, the 1.18mm pencil lead WAS in glass vials (with cork stoppers no less!) and they work like a charm in my MB mechanical pencil, which doesn't show its 50-70 years of age!

Jetpens is one of my favorites. I put them up there with the Goulets.

Great service, *and* a great selection, with items available about nowhere else (in the US). Can't go wrong with JetPens!

Ditto here.

I love the smell of fountain pen ink in the morning.

That IS amazing and funny you should post that as I just ordered an updated Rotring 600; Jetpens was the only place I could find that had the ultra fine 0.35 version as well as the great Pentel Stein leads which I am hoping will fit in the Rotring :)

If not I have some hungry Pentel 0.3mm pencils in storage.

Jet Pens once again has a dizzying array of products!

I also love Jetpens. I live an hour away and they ship stuff for me overnight for free. :D granted I could probably just stop by, and purchase in person but it saves me the drive! :D

love their large ink selection too, and their pen options. I got my LAMY dialog 3 from them a while back and it was beautifully packaged and handled.

currently my absolute favorite retailer so far.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
