Well That Wasn't Fun

ok we don't have the same tastes. Since you're in USA, you could have a Bexley also for that price http://www.bexleypen.com/category-s/1514.htm.

In any case, you can still sell all the pens you accidentally bought, and get your better pen. :)

That is true. But the most expensive pen I bought was $19....and it's.....pink

:D haha. I'm starting to suspect there was purpose in the accident. ;)

My phone hasn't gone on any buying sprees, but I did wake up one morning to find that it had been reading a book out loud to itself all night.

Fortunately it has good taste - it was a Terry Pratchett Discworld novel.

Ouch! Good thing there weren't any items with the name Tiffany attached to your cart.

Funny story, enjoy everything you got in that order!

I have an iPhone 5. I was driving to Bismarck one day for court, and had the phone on the passenger's seat. At some point I get a call from one of our detectives I work with who was a bit concerned because he had just gotten a call from my phone and there was no reply when he picked up. To this day I still don't know how the phone wound up dialing him. A hang-up call from a prosecutor to a detective is a surefire way to get somebody's attention.

I almost never order anything via my iPhone as I simply don't trust it. Way too easy to fat finger, etc. Try sleep texting ;P

I'm glad I didn't have something really really expensive that I couldn't have gotten bailed out of too!

I'm curious how pocket dialing the ebay order works? They usually have confirmations a dozen to bid on that many auctions/listings.

Simple. Rather than clicking on Buy It Now there is an option of putting it in a shopping cart. I had a number of things in that cart that I was planning to buy....just not all at once.

I go to the wall, pick up the horn, crank the handle. speak into the speaker; "Hello, Mable, give me Alice."

Technology has gone down hill since then.

LOL, yes, yes it has. Voicemail specifically brings out the worst in me, I can never speak intelligently to a machine.

My tablet ordered, all on its own, the entire contents of my Amazon cart a week ago. I play price roulette on Amazon all the time, so the cart was over $200 full (and oddly, none of it pen related). I caught it in time but the creepiness of it bugged me more than the hassle did. Maybe these miscreant devices get bored of being told what to do all the time, and want to shake things up a bit.

Haven't had that happen to me, but I've gotten up in the morning to find that the cats have tried to order pay-per-view movies. At least I *hope* it's movies and not the adult channels....

If they ever figure out how to get my credit card out my purse, I'm in trouble.

Scary!!! Just to clarify... were the items in the actual cart or just in the "Saved for later" section? I never keep any items in the actual cart, but have like 300 items in "Saved for later" list. I use it to keep track of the stuff I want/ need, like a personalized short cut, a wish list for myself. I would be in a BIG trouble if my tablet decides to order all of them at once...

 :sm_cat: And I thought my kitty was smart that she learned how to change channels on TV... She loves most sports, but has such contempt toward the commentators, so tries to change the channel when they show up during half time or after the game....

After my having confirmed the link between my ebay iOS app and Paypal, there's no barrier between the check out function and payment. I suspect the same applies to the OP. (Yet another reason to have a good password on the phone.)

A password only works if one does not shove their phone in their pocket unlocked....

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
