Well, that will teach the poor fellow to play with Ethernautrix!

I think it is more fpn than ethernautrix.

When I asked if I could put his e-mail address on fpn and he said yes, I said, "What if you get a thousand e-mails?" He laughed.

Inky fpn members are ink crazy, hahaha. And it's wonderful!

Thanks, rudyhou. I suppose writing in journals just about daily for years and years could be considered stealth practice. (Practice without considering it as practice.) When friends (or friends of friends) catch a glimpse of my notebook pages, the remark I most often hear is "it looks like a printed book!"

So... where is kwzi? Hahaha. I know, it's only the 22nd.

He is fighting! :)

I got back from Easter on Monday evening and I prepared fresh batch of some inks and also purified some colors of the earlier one, this took me till around 5:30 in the morning;)

Yesterday I was doing some R&D and preparing color chart:)

I have a lot of tape - and I won't hesitate to use it!

I have to apologize for that I'm awful photographer - I tried to fight a bit with camera I have but still I feel a bit disappointed.

Photos taken in full sun light ten to be to bright and unsaturated, and those taken in artificial goes to far to black. Today I took another series of photos, and here is link : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3tWuKWyhQmwQ1ZiRUtGbEQ0SEU/edit?usp=sharing Some photos were taken in direct sun light, and some in mix of scattered sun light and artificial light. Enjoy!

Just a note to our members: kwzi provided a link. That link is a ZIP file about 161MB in size that contains 84 pictures. I have downloaded it and, my computer found no viruses or problems.

So many nice colors! I love the iron gall colors, too.

If a group buy happens, I'd probably be down for one of the blues and maybe an iron gall.

Well, this should be interesting! KWZI, Dale and I are willing to organize the group buy.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

BACK OFF MY BLUE #3!

I'm kidding.

No, but, seriously.

Hahaha.

Really.

(Laughs.)

(Shakes head no.)

I hope kwzi makes it to Pen Salon Steinhaus - everyone, cross your fingers!

Thanks, kwzi, for making and posting the photos!

If a group buy were organized ... anyone interested?

Interested. Even though I haven't tried all the Akkermans from the last group buy yet.

Now that I have seen the pics, I am DEFINITELY down for a group buy. I want all the iron galls, five of the blues, and a few others, too.

I really like the Dark Green! It reminds me of Noodler's Prime of the Commons. Also enjoyed the turquoise iron gall ink.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
