Hi all,

Last week I've finally designed the streamline Kingsize bulk filler version.

And after 3 days work in my shop Ive just finished the prototype.

The cap can be posted easily with no risks of cracking the cap entry. since the cap entry does not touch the barrel during posting.

The pen has a comparable size to a Pelikan 1000 or a Montblanc 149, ink intake is 3ml...

Some dimensions:
- Length closed: 148 mm
- Cap-off: 140 mm
-Cap posted: 168 mm
- Filled Weight: 32 grams
- Weight without cap: 22 grams
- Max Cap Diameter: 17mm
- Maximum barrel diameter 16mm

- Minimum-diameter section: 12mm

Looks good, Francis.

 

Is this the definitive colour for the ink-window? IMHO it does not really fit to the trim. But that's the only remark I have.

I would happily test this beauty for you if you need :D

 

The demo bulk filler is insanely beautiful, and the black one just takes the biscuit!

 

How much? Are they custom order?

 

Edit: to add, can the nib be coloured the same as the threads? Sort of anthracite type colour?

Nib is 14K Size 8- the largest Bock makes...

PS : Note the nib unit is a BOCK screw-in cartridge featuring an ebonite feed.

Thanks for your valued input, I agree a smokey gray ink window would look better !

Attached a new pictures showing the pen with a rhodium plated nib, surely fits better in my opinion...

Beautiful work. I too think a gray ink window would be the way to go. Love your nib choice. I think I might be able to get through a couple of days of writing between refills.

Very well done. I agree with the comments on the color of the ink window, but otherwise it is a pen that I would gladly own and use.

Thanks D.ick !

As for the ink window, I agree its not coherent with the titanium furniture.

As suggested in one of the reactions, I'll try a "smoked grey" ink window!

your Bulkfiller system needs a straight, smooth barrel to function. Is this a massive barrel (so quite heavy), or does it have a separate system inside?

The barrel is effectively solid , although the closed /posted weight of the filled pen is only 32 grams, and the weight without cap: 22 grams.

Nice. It's a good looking pen, and I like the larger the size and big nib.

As others have suggested, I'd prefer a grey or clear ink window. A Ruthenium plated nib might look good with the brushed Titanium trim. The Rhodium plated nib and trim combination also looks great.

I LOVE it!!! I own the streamline demonstrator, but much prefer this larger nib. I agree that being able to post the cap is also a plus.

PS to all : The Bulk filler concept remains fully modular, so the ink window is easily exchanged.

CONID will make the ink window alternatively available in yellow , green, smokey grey and neutral.

One can even exchange the ink window in a later stage!

Hi Opooh,

Avoiding any risks for fretting and threading wear over time ,the barrel threads sleeve is made from titanium.

This combines well with the titanium furniture in our opinion.

We could evaluate making the thread sleeve from black Ketron Peek.

Hi all,

Had a meeting with Werner at CONID yesterday.,

Since the complete pen is modular, and one can easily replace/ exchange the ink window, we decided in offering alternatively the following colors.

Yellow- as shown- light green, smokey grey and neutral .

So one can choice upfront and even in a later stage go for another color.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning.
