Chaps where would I be able to get number 6 non flex nibs of decent quality in the Uk for my Ahab that I have on order; to make it into a non flex daily writer when I dont always want that flex? Google isnt really being my friend on this.

Both Goulet Pens and Fountain Pen Revolution sell #6 non flex nibs. One is in USA and the other in India, but I'm sure both ship to England.

Btw.

The Ahab nib is quite rigid (only semi-flex) , so if you are not completely ham fisted you can also use it as a "normal" FP non flexed.

 

There is absolute no need to flex it all the time...

 

So personally I do not see any need to swap the nib.

Although three years have passed, you could get a #6 Bock nib from :-

I have bought several of his nibs, and they have all been very good - especially for the price.

 

I did put. Bock nib in an Ahab and it worked just fine.

 

Ring him up ; he is most helpful

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..
