No idea....had expected it to be out by now.

All he said last year was next year.

This Art Deco style '90's (pre-bump in clip)Persona black titanium oxide was an 18 K OB nail, with no line variation.

Pendelton Brown made it a M-B, Cursive Italic.

It's also shown a bit above, so I'll only put the writing in.

Got a 27, OF nail, and a couple Artus ones; a Favorite and a Ballit that is wearing a Degussa Easy Full Flex nib instead of it's own.

Picked up this beaut from German ebay for a mere £36! From all the markings, I believe it to be an early production 2000. Any other info would be great. It looks a bit grubby because these pics were taken as soon as I opened the package. It's cleaned up (with no rust-like oil on the clip) and looks as new now.

:)

Don't understand why my pictures vanished...even those copied from me.

They came back...good.

This my collection so far. A couple more are on their way.

For some reason the pic comes out upside down, oh well.

My version of the guide for the Pilot Varsity Nib transplantation to the Platinum Preppy

DIY Retractable Fountain Pen (Couldn't get it to work, now refilling Schmidt 888 M refills with FP inks in a Pilot G2 Limited, the ceramic roller tip is as smooth as a Firm FP steel nib, Poor Man's VP I guess)

This is my Lamy collection, I love the FP's so much I purchased 2 regular pens which I fill with 2 separate pen colored inks for everyday usage. The first FP shown is Extra Fine, the second is Medium and the third is Bold

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
