@stacey: The 823 would be perfect except for that annoying thing about unscrewing the blind cap a bit... so annoying ):

You can remove the o-ring that blocks off the feed so that ink flows even when the cap is screwed down, so don't let that stop you :)

 

My issue with the 823 was that the balance of the pen shifts quite dramatically as ink is used.

@Ytland: Ahhhh ic.. Well that actually sounds good to me (I know that sounds ridiculous but hear me out). During long writing session like exams changing pens feels really good, maybe this will provide a similar effect?

With the Pilot Custom 823, I just leave the end cap partially unscrewed all the time.  You only need to screw it in when you fly.  Great pen.
