Help - Lamy Safari Sweden Blue With Yellow Clip - Have A Received A Fake?

Hi, recent purchased a Lamy Safari Fountain pen, the swedish version of blue with yellow clip, my friend is got the package for me and when she took photos to show me, the clip doesn't look like bright yellow, but more like the standard yellow clip, does it mean this pen is put together using the normal blue safari with a yellow clip? The one i received has blue body, yellow clip and black cross cap.

So does the yellow clip supposed to be a different colour compare to the yellow body from the Taiwan special edition of yellow and red clip?

If any one happen to own both, can you let me know...

so frustrated!!

Look for something, find something else, and realize that what you've found is more suited to your needs than what you thought you were looking for.

Want: Montblanc 146 Burgundy F | Need: What do you think?

Hope and faith goes hand-in-hand, because without hope there is no faith. The same goes with want and needs, without any wants, there no need to have a need.

I thought Lamy Safaris always had LAMY at the tail end of it. My Vista does. Like this:

Effacent mon dépit de ta métamorphose;

Tu t'éveilles, alors le rêve est oublié.

yes it does have the LAMY word printed on the end, just that my friend didn't capture very well with her phone.

It is the colour that concerns me... because i cant see the pen in person, i'm not 100% sure, but if feels that they took 2 lamy safaris and assembled into one of these, the regular blue and the yellow clip. But it is not the bright yellow that the sweden version supposed to be though...

If the pic is so fuzzy that the LAMY imprint is not visible, then I doubt the colour is accurately captured. Could you ask your friend for better pics?

Did the pen come with a serial number?

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
