Cs 100 Going Back Into Production.

I am thinking that if one were to ask Mary Burke very nicely, she might post the CS 100 photo from Pen World. Assuming she can get consent, of course from the forum moderator, of course.

For your information: Mary IS the official Mod for this subforum....

But each mod can and must act if he/she comes upon certain facts, so GP was doing her "general duty" so to say, and rightly so, as it would be very awkward for FPN to have lawsuits to contend with...

Darn! I knew I should have used an emoticon!

I am aware of Ms. Burke's role on this forum. My suggestion was tongue in cheek, but I do think asking Mary to share the photo is reasonable, assuming it is not now copyrighted by Pen World.

Please find below an image of the Classic Black model 100 that appeared in Pen World. I am only showing the pen and not the complete advert because for the rules in this forum states that our conversations are to be for discussion and not for advertising :)

Thank you to everyone for your kind words of support. The team making our pens at the factory in Devon are passionate about Conway Stewart and I always forward to them your feedback.

We will be announcing the launch and colours for the Model 100 series soon!

Warmest regards,

Here's a shot of my 100 from the last issue a couple of years ago in Classic Green. Along with my CS28 in Green & Black marble. Just love these colours.

'The Yo-Yo maneuver is very difficult to explain. It was first perfected by the well-known Chinese fighter pilot Yo-Yo Noritake. He also found it difficult to explain, being quite devoid of English.

So we left it at that. He showed us the maneuver after a sort. B*****d stole my kill.'

No, it's a standard Schmidt screw-in converter. Certainly like the LE 60th Anniversary one. We'll see if they've done anything else with the rest of the production.

CS really mustn't do this in lever fill, absolutely not, I mean, if they did I'd have to buy one :) .

Nice looking pen. Have the italic nibs given up the ghost?

We still offer Italic nibs, however our new CEO/MD wished for the 60th Anniversary to offered in Fine, Medium and Broad.

Kind regards,

Mary Burke

Thank you Mary. Good to know. Your italic nibs are amongst my favorites.

Here is an image of the different nib grades offered by Conway Stewart. Our nibs are crafted from 18 carat solid gold and offered in a range from Extra Fine to Extra Broad, Italic Fine, Italic Medium and Italic Broad. I hope this helps if anybody has any questions :)

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
