My dog not only behaves like a puppy, she looks like one. I grew up with large hunting dogs, so half the time I just call her puppy instead of her name.

She's beautiful!

What a lovely grown-up puppy.

Thank you for posting that image.

Thanks, Tom! My photography skills are rudimentary, especially with my phone - but she is a cutie. It's an old picture because she was clean and fluffy from her bath. Usually I'm too exhausted after bathing, combing, and drying to take a picture, and then she rolls in something. Sadly, it no longer matters what I call her, since she went mostly deaf at the age of six.

She's not much into pens. She's 18 1/2 years old. Just started slowing down this year. Lucky that the cat hadn't knocked bottles of my desk though.

18 1/2 years old is incredible for a large dog! She must have great genetics and a very loving and caring home.

I couldn't decide whether to post in this forum or the Pen & Paper forum, but decided to do it here because no one would post here if they weren't pet people.

Yesterday I ordered a custom journal with a photo of my dog for what I think is a reasonable price so I thought I'd pass the information along in case anyone else is interested. I have no relationship with this company and found them only yesterday through an article I read.

The company is Cuddle Clones at cuddleclones.com They make a number of products, but I chose the journal, priced at $34.95. If you sign up for email (which you're providing anyway for an order), you'll get a 10% coupon that can be used immediately. Delivery is expected in about 3 weeks.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
