I have 149 yellow gold EF, F, M, B, BB, music(bespoke), 75th limited ed. B, 90th rose gold ed. B, platinum F, M.
This post had me thinking of the MB #9 nibs I have. Not all of my nibs are mounted in 149s. Some are custom pens and some are loose. In my accumulation I think I have every non-bespoke nib width, every nib type (tri-tone and bi-tone, 14C, 14K, 18C, 18K), and every feed used. Sometimes collections kinda develop themselves without trying.
To be fair, I don't have any platinum or regular rose gold nibs any longer. I also do not have any of the limited edition city 149s that have special nibs, and forget about the skeleton pens and upwards in price. I did manage to pick up a Hemi and a few Dumas pens though. I also have a few of the old war time steel 250 (aka #9) nibs I picked up over the years. And of course, no 149 sucker like me could live without a 75th and 90th anniversary pen.
This post is just reinforcing how much I like the MB #9 nib.
If anyone knows for sure if the ever made a factory OF, then I have one more width to look for.
Yeah, there may be a problem here.
