Glad to see you back up and running better then ever. I miss the forum and was beginning to display withdrawal symtoms. It was ugly.

But I seem to okay now! Thank again.

Yay, we're back! :D Thank you, Admin team! It was really weird to not have FPN as part of my daily visits.

I'm writing an online serial thing. It's urban fantasy. And I have no idea how long it's going to run for.

Glad you are back, but the site is horribly slow. I'm sorry to say it but i'm not sure FPN is doing the right things. After introducing paid accounts the site goes down for a week. Upgrades are slow. If FPN thinks it's mature enough to ask for payment they als need to think about availability, you can't expect people to pay for a site that goed down for a week after a software update. But for now i'm glad the site is back.

My thanks as well.

The bits of the site I use regularly all seem to be working fine, and response time (east coast USA) has been good--certainly better than the days before the site went down.

Great job team.

I'm not an FPN addict .... I didn't check the site every ten minutes.... Uh, maybe several times a day, but that's different. -- Thanks FPN and FPNers for being here and I've sure missed all ya'alls. ("All ya'alls is plural for ya'll incase you didn't know).

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Thank you for fixing our site!

Lurking around in the real world was nowhere near as much fun.

Amazing, patient work! Thank you all for the amazing job that you did, under extremely trying circumstances.

Funding needs for the new system? Can we donate?

Glad FPN is back online! Can't read it on my phone, so had to wait until today.... Wow, look what you've done with the place. Still looking around, getting my bearings.

Nice.

Admins and mods, congrats on getting back up and running!

Slow?????? You must have missed the really slow time. It's screaming fast to me right now. Also you may need to clear your cache to get rid of old FPN stuff!

+1 (and then some) to what others have said already. :notworthy1:

I had no idea just how utterly addicted I was to this site and the amazing information, advice, and assistance I have gotten over the past year and a quarter until it was down. Not to mention the comaraderie from kindred souls that I feel that I know in spirit, if not actually in person.

I can barely imagine the amount of effort the admin people exerted in order to get things ported, fixed, rebuilt, and tested -- and I'm *married* to a software developer. It was an extraordinary undertaking and we, the beneficiaries of all your sleepless nights the past couple of weeks are in your debt.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
