Marvellous!

Why, thank you very much, my friend. Now, for you, that'd be a cinch to top off with a spire or something of that nature...

I had a 1988 Corvette and her legs look just fine. I also like her umbilical jewelry. Nothing says easy like visible umbilical jewelry. Her legs have a certain Amber hue that reminds me of Edelstein Amber ink.

You confuse me. Are you talking about the Corvette?

Beautiful car. Love that amber shading!

@peterpen - watch the George Jones Corvette song ... "he had one that was hotter than a $2 pistol." He's talking about the brunette.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

How silly of me to have neglected an inclusion here of replies like this. It looks like Pelikan has been reading our posts. In view of this, I still think that their choice of the gem "Amber" for a "brown" ink offers the perfect -- if not serendipitous --  solution. Pun intended.

Great review. I was expecting something more like Ambre de Birmanie though, this looks much duller than amber, but it has excellent shading.

Thank you for the great review.

I have Edelstein Amber and J. Herbin Ambre de Birmanie and while I like both inks very much, I prefer the J. Herbin for its slightly deeper color and increased shading.  I've not tried the Edelstein in as many nibs as Birmanie so my final verdict is yet to be determined, but with the price difference (partly due to the lovely Edelstein bottle no doubt) I'm likely to buy more of the J. Herbin.  Great ink though and worthy of purchase.
