Eta: thanks for making it happen Wim and Shawn. BTW - the packaging was rivaling the Goulets.

Thanks all for taking the time to do this. WO Bentley, I made a similar discovery and didn't get a chance to explain what happened. I now know it should arrive before next month and I'll be all smiles when I do get it.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Amberlea, my order is just to get some more Tulipe Noire...I have all 3 and you (and everyone else too!) will love them! For me Tulipe Noire and GMB are the big winners but VGSNB is a great ink, just very dark and I like brighter.

WOBentley, would you believe that I just wanted the bottle? My collection was incomplete without them. rolleyes.gif

Got mine on Friday, right before I had to run off to my in-laws for the weekend. So, of course I didn't have time to open them up to play!

I have been dying to get home and ink up.

Thanks again wimg and Shawn!!!

Email sent (a couple of days ago) for 1 brown and 1 tulipe. I know there is a processing backlog so this is not a hurry up.

I just like the colors so much that I just had to post.

I will process any new orders tomorrow :). I think we have 6 so far, so that should be doable ;). Other than that, processing orders and payments is up to date up to and including last Friday :D.

Warm regards, Wim

Thanks to Wim and everyone involved in the process for selling these, I got my Starry Night (order 1174) not too long ago and I love it! It may be my favorite blue ink, I love deep dark inks and it just looks amazing on the page!

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey everybody - a WHOLE bunch of boxes packed up tonight. 25 boxes. Had to stop b/c I ran out of packing peanuts. Have more ordered and should get more boxes out next weekend no problem.

Some of you will find stained blue boxes of blue ink. No worries. THree bottles broke during shipment to me and they bled everywhere.

I checked each box before packing them so unless something happens from me to you, all should be well.

:)

Believe it or not - tracking numbers.

The number you enter is the Label #.

All you have to do is find your zip code and then the tracking number next to it - and type it in at

https://tools.usps.c...on!input.action

and you're good to go! :)

If your box is going out of US, then no tracking number.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
