These are my pens, minus the broken Waterman Phileas, the broken parts pen Vacumatic, the 1939 Emerald Pearl Vacumatic I'm having restored, and the Bookworm on which I'm waiting. They're displayed on the pen wrap on which I've been working, made out of vintage kimono fabrics. The Japanese glass vintage beads will be affixed to the wrap's tie. Thanks for looking!

Here are some of my favorites from my collection that I photographed for my introduction topic at FPGeeks. As you can see I love black and red pens.

The MB 138 in there is my absolute favorite pen right now.

Took me 8 or 9 years to afford and find the Eternal Bird and I'm still in awe that I finally have my elusive grail pen. Its never getting sold!

Parker (model? - not sure)

Here is how I carry them. Two cheap cases. One carries three small pens and has a magnetic closer. The single Parker case cost £1 and carries a larger pen. Three pens for three colours (black, blue, blue black)

Nice pens (I particularly like the blue Parker on the end.) and nice cases, too, GordonH.

MiamiArchStudent, I'd love to know the makes and models of your pens. They're lovely.

Thanks so much, MiamiArchStudent for listing them all! I opened up your photos in separate windows and your descriptions in another window and what a collection! I really like the Montblanc Jonathan Swift and I love the red pens. The Eternal Bird is fantastic. I also love the blue Pelikan, the Montegrappa Cosmopolitan Gothic, and the Montegrappa Privilege Déco. Just beautiful!

No problem betweenthelens. The MB Swift is a beautiful pen and I think it is a unique and daring design gamble on Montblanc's part that paid off well. The Eternal Bird is amazing and looks great on my desk with its matching inkwell. I'm very fortunate to have that pay as I have wanted it for 9 years but never had the money or I lost out on one at the last minute.

Nice collection. Is your Conway Stewart Nelson a button or a piston filler?

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
