Travelling Vegetarian Recipe Book

Vegetarian for over 30 years and one of my best friends was a tutor with the Vegetarian Society - but I am in the UK rather than USA so it might get complicated.

Pens and paper everywhere, yet all our hearts did sink,

Pens and paper everywhere, but not a drop of ink.

Vegan in Toronto with my own personal book of recipes, mains and desserts, and sauces, and drinks. I'm not raw vegan, but I do have some of those, too. I also have some amazing cookbooks from which to borrow, one of them is Great Chefs Cook Vegan, for those interested in gourmet. If anyone would like specific recipes, please let me know and I'll list my cookbooks here.

Please PM for my mailing address. So excited!

I'm interested!! I've been vegan for 2 years, and I'm quite good at cooking food that fools my omnivorous friends

My vegan cupcakes have fooled many an omnivore. They look like this after: :yikes:

Been vegetarian all my life (albeit quite a short life!!), and love to cook. Would love to share some recipes, but not too sure about whether I'd be able to write them in the book.

Great idea and I hope it works (is working?) out - I may upload a few recipes online that you can copy in it on behalf of me :P

I am in Hong Kong. (It would make sense to sandwich me after someone from the States and before someone from Oz.)

I've been a mostly vegan (the only animal product i eat is cheese since it's one of my only sources of protein) since i was 5 years old but i dont know how to cook any foods (i barely even know how to make a grilled cheese) so i probably would not be a good candidate for this book at all (and i have terrible handwriting) but i just dropped in to say it's really cool how many vegetarians and vegans there are in this website.

The OP has not been on FPN since August 2013. I am pretty sure this book never got started, unfortunately. I know the post gets resurrected every once in a while, with new hopeful voices, but it is not happening right now unless there is a current groundswelling to make it happen.

Hello all... I am extremely sorry for not being on FPN for ... 3 years... (!!!). I did start and mail out the vegetarian recipe book but I never got an update from the person I sent it to, and after a month of asking I was distracted by RL - my grandma had passed away, and some other bad things happened, and honestly then, I forgot and for that I am extremely apologetic.

Today is my first day back on FPN, and in the writing world. I am (pleasantly) surprised to see how many people have been interested in a Vegetarian book such as this over the years. If any of you are still interested, please let me know and maybe we can revive this project. If I find 5-10 people interested, I will send out the my first recipe by mid-February. I am sure we can add people on as we go along.

What do you think? Shall we try this again? I already know the recipe I would put on there - Vegetarian Enchiladas (NOT healthy!).

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
