I just filled my M805 Blue O'Blue with the Italic Broad nib and it is utterly magnificent right out of the box! Hooray!

I think I currently have four M800's (all with Custom Bindes). I've never personally owned an M1000, but they of course are very nice pens. I also have two early 100's, a 100N and a 101N (dark tortoise cap & barrel).

I'll see about taking one tomorrow. We are currently in Vegas, but heading home to LA in the morning.

I don't own any of the big guns. I am still having too much fun with the 100/400 to think about the M800/M1000s. However, I have just acquired a pre-1990's D800 Mechanical Pencil in Tortoise if that counts.

Four 800s: one early 1990s green/black with M nib, two recent blue/black-EF & F, one recent red/black-EF, plus two spare nib units- medium & EF. My wife uses a black 200-F & a tortoise 400-EF.

Cool! Let me know if you ever want to try a "Binderized" oblique cursive italic in one of your 800s. It is a M nib that Richard cut to an OCI. It's a great writing nib but I prefer something broader (which I purchased from Richard). I'm sure we can work out a trade/price that's fair to both of us.

- Black M200 0.6 stub by Binder, it has always been writing with BBH to absolute perfection.

- Blue M800 Broad, have not found its ink yet.

..... thats all :crybaby:

I am afraid I own only one M800 black with gold trim, but I really enjoy writing with it and it does wonders when I load it with IG ink...

Got it when the prices were not too high and I just love it!

Do you sell pens?? Why do you have 50 M800s?!?!?! Assuming they cost you $200 each, you still have $10k of M800s!!!!

The pen I write with, is the pen I use to sign my name.

OK, Let me check:

M1000 Demonstrator Broad

M1000 Black & Gold-Fine

M1000 Green Stripes & Gold-Medium

M800 Black, older version-Fine

M800 Black, older version-Broad

M800 Red Stripes & Gold-Double Broad

M800 Blue & Rhodium-Extra Fine (one of my very favorites)

M800 Blue Stripes & Gold-Triple Broad

M800 Blue Stripes & Rhodiun-ObliqueTriple Broad

M800 Blue O'Blue-Italic Broad

Two unused M800 Green Demonstrators, both Mediums, one I paid list price for, the second purchased on closeout! (Resistance was Futile!)

That was it, just the M1000s and m800s, right? Not the 625s, 600s, 400s, 215s, 205s, 200s, 150s, 101Ns, etc.

Yes, I like my Pelikans, real German Fountain Pens. large-capacity piston-fillers, great nibs, nice size for my big hands--Very nearly the perfect fountain pen!

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
