Can't find verification of this any where on the net. No ads. Seems weird to me. Have you found any links?

Who's in charge of these "Pen Shows" anyway? I mean, who decides to postpone it, set the date, etc.?

I'm trying to find out when the Chicago Pen Show will be, but I can't get any info.

To clarify, this is in no way affiliated with the Toronto Pen Show held every July. While I wish the orgranizers well in their endevours. It would be appreciated that they diiferentiate themselves from our event.

As far as I know this is a small event for Pens and Watches.

I dont see any reason to compare between this show and the Toronto Pen Show.

As for who decides when and where regarding the Pen and Watch Show ?

I have no idea. All I know is a guy I know is selling pens and watches in this show and I get my info from him.I got an email from him few days ago telling me the date has been changed.I know how fastrating this is cause I was waiting for this impatiantly.

This event has been postponed until February 10th as far as I know. I received an email from JC about a week ago mentioning it.

Cheers,

SG

PenRx is no longer in business.

this all seems rather amateurish. are there multiple sellers? are any stores represented? is this more of an antique show?

i thought of going but now i am beginning to wonder if it is worth the trip.

These are good questions.

I am planing to go anyway.

I will update everybody and let you guys know if its any good or not.

Since here in Toronto there is very little "Pen excitment" so even a small thing is interesting for me.And you never know when you are going to find that next special pen.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
