Vintage Mabie Todd

I like Mabie Todd. I really like vintage Mabie Todd. The problem is that when you search e-bay, a lot of the best are overseas. Does anyone have any recommendations for dealers state side?

Josh - I really like vintage Mabie Todd pens as well, as do, judging by the prices they command, a significant number of others. Here in the states you're likely to get the American-made Mabie Todds. Since the American branch died out earlier than the British one, you're going to find more over there than over here.

 

Not to encourage competition :hmm1: - I was hesitant to purchase overseas too but have had good luck, though passing through customs adds a significant average delay in transit time. Even though the pens are under packaged by my standards (probably because of weight, but I flinch anyway when I see a small unpadded envelope with just a smidgen of bubble wrap), none have arrived damaged (so far) and only one has gone wandering (and may be stuck in customs for all I know).

 

One thing I would recommend, even though it adds $5 and up the shipping, is to make sure you get at least tracking (so you can see where your pen got to if it wanders), plus insurance if you buy a nicely restored pen.
