Just to provide a context for the original poster, anywhere from $400 for a really primitive user grade pen to $2000 for a truly pristine first year model from 1937.

Short captop models, Magnum size pens, other exotic variants could go higher.

In Bulgaria there was Pelikan factory in the late 30s and early 40s. Can be found tortie shells 101N in excellent condition price of € 200 - € 350. I have bought years ago for € 10, € 80 and € 100. Can rarely be found with red cap and short top cap. I have a dozen vintage 101N. Now most dealers sell them on eBay and their prices reach 600-800 dollars. Everything depends on market demand and condition of the pen. :thumbup:
