Great Valentine's Day present from my wife - a Parker Duofold Special Edition Burgundy Centennial Fountain Pen.
To be fair I bought it online and she then offered to buy it from me to give to me for Valentine's Day!
I am not going to give 'marks out of ten' for this review, just my opinions on this pen.

The pen is presented in a charcoal grey sleeve with silver Parker logo.
P2140180.jpg
Inside is a cherry wood box with a silver plaque bearing the words 'The Parker Duofold', the Royal Warrant and Parker logo. Inside the wooden box is a black velvet again bearing the Parker logo and the pen is contained in a protective cellophane sleeve.
P2140161.jpg
The Body and cap are of a dark burgundy colour with gold arrow clip, three gold bands on the cap and one on the bottom of the pen.
P2140169.jpg
P2140176.jpg
The cap is further enhanced with the special edition burgundy shield bearing a retro look Parker logo.
P2140178.jpg
The pen is equipped with the standard Parker Duofold convertor.
P2140175.jpg
The nib is a real feature of the pen. It is engraved with a retro parker logo with 18K and 750.
P2140173.jpg
I have dipped the pen and the medium nib works really well with two of my favourite traditional Parker inks: Parker Penman Sapphire and Parker Penman Ebony. For some reason the Ebony made the nib write a little broader - I promise it wasn't me, there is no flex in this nib.

In conclusion, the nib is very smooth, the pen looks great (and will look even better with the charcoal grey suit I intend to wear when using it!) and I bought it for much less than the market price (which my wife refunded).
So all in all I am a very happy boy - hope you are all having a great Valentine's Day.

Woo Hoo, good Valentine's day for both of you. Probably cheaper than a bunch of roses too.
