It is stunning.
Keep the nib plain (not engraved), it looks perfect with the elegant line of the pen.

I agree . . . the plain nib really completes a very classic look. Nicely done. I guess I'll have to add another TWSBI to the pen case when this becomes available . . .

In theory, but in reality might look unfinished and cheap to many customers.

Put me down for at least 1 of each! Great looking pens!

All the Best,

Hmm, the last picture reminds me of a Visconti Opera Guilloche.

I like it!

it does looks like a VS opera but I like it, no red background on the cap makes it better looking to me.

is this a piston filler?

I'm not sure. Detroit certainly slaps more chrome (-covered plastic) on cars than foreign makes and many believe that looks cheap.

My humble opinion - any kind of visible ornamentation would clash with the rest of the pen's classic elegance. It's a black Savile Row tuxedo. It doesn't need anything else. Well, maybe 'clash' is too harsh (a boutonnier wouldn't spoil the tux), but I do like the look of the unengraved nib.

I like it a lot, it may be the first one I own, can you show it against a known pen or provide dimensions? I'm one of those few that prefer a nice size pen, for me it makes it easier for long writing sessions. Very handome design and still reminds me of my Visconti Opera Master.

Along with everyone else - use the same style cap/jewel on this as the 540. That jewel is something to keep!

Even if you smooth out the cap ring, still give it a visual style completely compatible with the 540.

Facets like the 540 rather than the striations of the new design.

And I for one, only want a plain nib on a wet noodle. Some nice engraving makes it special.

I can't believe I missed this back in October. I love heavy things, a special edition 850 made of steel would be great, but aluminium is good too.

IMO, very much better than all previous Twsbi designs; I have not bought one yet simply because of the design. This may be the turning point. I greatly prefer the quieter, more elegant look of this pen in both dark and light tones.

I too would like to hear more about dimensions, weight, ink capacity and nibs available. Congrats on the design work so far. Like plain nib and like uncoloured jewel.

Looks good.

One thing I'd like to suggest:
please, make clip design typical and unique, so that when pen is clipped in pocket, people would know what pen is it, by just looking the clip; as it is with Parker's arrow clip.

Won't be in my pen case; it will be in my shirt pocket.
Any plans for italic nib(s)?

Speedy I love your new design - no need to copy diamonds of the 540 -- your new design is an immediate sellout hit - I don't need another pen to look like the 530, 540 and roc 100 I already have - great work and can't wait to see it available for purchase

If it doesn't have the characteristic Diamond shape, don't call it the Diamond 850, but the SomethingElse 850. Maybe the IronMan 850?

This design is quite difficult to realize for mass production; mainly on two color barrel molding, If by metal it is even more difficult. So we went back to the drawing board, come out the new filling mechanism then we can put a cloth outside it. This cloth can be plastic, metal, and many possible materials, and first pen by this mechanism is IROC 850
