Beyond beautiful! This pen deserves an applause! :clap1: :clap1: :clap1:

Everything is truly striking, and a perfect blend of classic styling, good craftsmanship, and modern parts. The clip is a good choice, and I think button fillers are under appreciated today. ;)

I see that you use Bock nibs!

Which type is it. Looks new to me!

All of the Bock feeds and nibs that i use are brand new. I use the 250 for the 6mm and the 180 for the 5mm. The 5's are available in Xfine, fine and medium. The 6's are only available in medium as of right now, but will have the other sizes later. They are also only available in the Steel with gold plating , while the steel polished ones will be available at a later time.

The nib design looks new to me!

Because normally it's a Bock in a cricle.

Thanks Everyone for your comments. This is a new design on the nib. It is usually the circle with the Bock logo. This is the Bock logo ( goat and mountain scene) enlarged to fit the full breadth of the nib. I even goes around the vent hole. Very stunning looking in person. I like them a lot more than the normal Bock logo.

I remember this pen as one of my all-tine favorites, Justin. The way you turned the pattern over for the cap is what does it for me. Of course, that clip is perfect for the ripple ebonite. Beautiful!

Thanks Robert, that means a lot to me!:) I knew i had to do something to make it unique and thought that flipping and lining up the pattern would kind of set it over the top. Not that it wouldnt have worked all going one way, like it was dripping down the pen, but i wanted something more. And of course i love these clips as well. Going to have some of them re-plated and get me some Platinum/Rhodium ones :)

Thanks again

Justin

Fantastic work and beautiful ebonite :) I am always delighted to see people with such talent to make a stick of ebonite into something that will warm hearts all over. I just have to wait for a broad or double broad nib becomes available

I'm in a constant state of cat-like readiness!!!

I'm with Robert. This is one of my all-time favorites!

I was very lucky and come across a piece of this ebonite. However, I don't plan on using it until I've reached a much higher level of talent.

Justin, you've created a one-of-a-kind instrument of beauty!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
