Mabie Todd Swan SF No 130 with a Swan 14ct fine flexible nib, c 1928
This is my first vintage pen and I think I have made a really good choice. Extremely smooth writer and the flex is so easy to apply. Though it is true I haven't tried any other flexible nibs before. The nib is fine to medium/broad. When it arrived I was quite shocked by how small and light it was. Measuring just 137mm.
Nib: "Swan" 14 CT Mabie Todd & Co
Rhodia 90 g ivory paper
The pen itself is extremely attractive, red and black MTL with a gold trim.
All in all I think I have made a good choice.
Makes me want to get some Black Swan on English roses even more, to have a fully swan themed pen
