It's beautiful, but the section and the piston's cap could have been decorated, too.
It's a bit expensive, in my opinion.

Far far to expensive for me, but:

That is without doubt the best looking Pelikan I've ever seen. I love the Raden! It looks just awesome! Posted Image

Need a pen repaired or a nib re-ground? I'd love to help you out.

Absolutely beautiful! ... but I'll have to be satisfied with the green and black one I have. Just having one of these 1000s is certainly a treat. :cloud9:

I will take the minority view that the styling does not fit the pen.
YMMV

May I ask why? Pelikans tend to be striped. Or is the raden too flashy?

Might be the prettiest Pelikan ever, IMO.

Goodness. That is gorgeous. I know I will never see it or hold it, but I would just like to register an interest.

seems like a remake of the gekko kyoko pair...

too bad they didn't use the gekko colors, I think that is more popular one of the two.

very nice version of the m1000, thanks for sharing  I am broke and have other pens on my list so I can't buy it because of its heavy price.
Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

I don't know a way to verbalize it, but it just doesn't look right to me. I hesitate to use the word, but it really does look ugly to me. OTOH, I think the standard M800 Blue or Green stripe bodies with the black cap are rather attractive, in a 1930's way.
YMMV

Awesome. The Raden recalls the stripped design
Currently inked: M800 (Pelikan Blue-Black), M400 (Qink Blue-Black), 400NN (Pelikan Black), 120 (Pelikan Turquoise) and 100N (Pelikan Royal Blue)
