Love the pink! I've one that color too, so cheery. It's filled with Noodler's Mandalay Maroon, the pink ink for those who don't do pink ink.

I read that Kaweco comes out with a couple of new colors every couple of years, so maybe this year we'll see something different...purple or black transparent would be fun.

WOW - Noodler's Mandalay Maroon - I might be on the lookout for that myself :)

From the OP:

I do not think the nib is replaceable.

The nib itself is not replaceable - or in fact removeable - but Kaweco sells complete sections with nibs in all sizes.

I saw somewhere that Kaweco had finally made a converter for the Sport. The last brick in the wall.

YES - just been reading that myself. Has anyone had experience with their converter yet?

The nibs and feeds on all my Kaweco Sports are removeable, very easily in fact! Pull and pop, out they come. That's what makes them even better, it's so easy to clean out the feed.

Yes, they sell the nibs/feeds with the sections, but all the nibs and feeds can be taken out of the section sleeve. I interchange my F,M,B, etc. nibs a lot.

I have a white rollerball Sport, looks just like the OP's, that I bought on a whim a couple of years ago. I used it for a while but didn't care too much for the tip. It had a weird little bit of feedback, like the ball wasn't quite round or something. So I put it away and kind of forgot about it.

One day I was trolling the closeouts on the Goulet site and wow, there's a white-sectioned broad nib unit for a Sport for all of $3. One left. Bought it.

It's like having a new pen! The nib is smooth, and more like a wide medium than a real broad, but that's not a biggie. I'm using a generic blue cartridge in it but eventually I'll make it an ED pen.

Revisiting this review (how green I was!) to say that, like any great pen, the Kaweco just gets better and better with age. I've found that with the correct grip, the slimness doesn't bother me like it once did, and the nib has gotten even smoother. It dances across the page. Great little note-taking pen when you're packing light.

JaquiAnn's pen is fantastic. I love the old-school aesthetic of the white (plus it makes me snicker) but the Ice Sports look like popsicles.

My everyday breast pocket carry, showing a few years of wear:

After the next mega-destruction asteroid hit, I believe the only human artifacts that will be found by the succeeding intelligent race will be Kaweco Sport pens and Twinkies. ;)

Kaweco's gotta work that into an ad campaign somehow.

Has anyone else tried one of the italic version of the Kaweco Sport? I'm sorry to say I was rather disappointed; it looks the part, but that feed is just too dry and the nib skips all over the place. There's a fuller written review here, if you're interested: http://scribbledemonboddo.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/kaweco-sport-italic-2013.html

After three years, my little black Kaweco Sport gets better and better. I often admire its sleek design; it is emblematic to me of great European industrial design of the last century, when it was originally designed and built. Nice that didn't try to bring the look up to date, i.e. ruin it.

The F nib is smooth and responsive, laying down a neat line on any paper I have used. The line is a little finer than that from my Montegrappa F, which writes like a dream, but is too costy to be my walk-around pen.

I can't tell you how many people have looked at me using the KS pen and said, "Whoa, that is cool." People here must be politer that what I read in horror stories elsewhere, as no one has grabbed at the pen. I have let several people try it out, after explaining exactly what they should do and expect. Two of my friends have since outfitted themselves with a KS, one white, one black.

It is great fun to be able to carry such an elegant and well-mannered little pen with me as my all-day writer, loving it without having to obsess over possibly losing it. The perfect pen? No such thing, of course, but very close.

Plan to get one of these but hard to decide which color. Will probably get a EF, likely to use small notebook with pocket pen :)

Works right out of the box and you can have a ball converting it to a sac filler (and side step the angst of an eyedropper). I have 3 and love them all. 2 Bs and a BB. I have to admit that the B does skip a little bit, very little, and I think that is because the feel can't always keep up with the demand for ink. They are juicy little things.

Given the obvious size restrictions the converter doesn't hold all that much ink and I struggle to completely fill the little thing. I ususally get a 3/4 fill on the little converter. It fits well, has come loose in the pen's body once or twice due to rough handling but other than that it makes the pen complete for me!

I do love this pen, its a very practical and useful daily pen to have flung in a jean pocket or work bag without worrying too much about ruining it or losing it! And my EF nib is terrifically smooth

Highly recommended as an addition to any pen collection

For any skipping problems... I will suggest to try a wetter ink. I have solve most my problems by switching the ink.

Apparently these pens have now been "honored" with a Chinese clone on eBay.

I find myself never touching my sport. But i use my brass delike pen every single day (a knockoff that lengthened the barrel about 1cm so it accepts a proper converter, which changed the entire way the pen feels for the better and is a downright better pen)

The small shape tweak of the delike alpha fixed the kaweco. Completely. And they have released a nice aluminum model and just released a gorgeous acrylic model. So now I don't think I will ever have a reason to get my kaweco out again.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
