Oooh, can I be the first post? please!

 

I've got this thing about dinky ladies Wahl's from the 1920s. They're really well designed, have wonderful decorative bodies, and the nibs are SMOOTH and deliciously flexible. I use mine to write with all the time and am looking for more. I also love the Skyline pen - it's a classic, but I've only got a couple of those.

Thanks for the enthusiastic greeting. Unfortunately you are a little late to be the first post because that happened on the 27th of November. There are lots of posts old and new now aggregated there.

Hi Everyone,

I am new in this forum. I found this site by accident by searching for Wahl Eversharp Black and Pearl Doric pen. I think having a seperate forum on Eversharp is great. I always like early Doric pens. I don't many but what I do have is a pre regular Doric pens. It is the Black and Pearl Doric. I understand that Wahl made these pens before the regular dorics in five different colors. Is this true? I am looking to acquire more of the regular dorics.

If you're still around, you might ask this question in the Wahl-Eversharp Forum. This is the "News" forum and this particular thread is only announcing the new forum.

 

As far as the Black & Pearl Doric is concerned, I believe that was originally distributed to Wahl salesmen, rewards for performance or some such thing. I don't recall hearing that they pre-dated the other Dorics.
