This is my first missive to the Network and my first pen from Brian at Edison. Like all of you, I'm sure, I derive immense satisfaction from the use of a fountain pen but until recently have been devoted to vintage models (Duofolds and Omas' my weaknesses, to my wallet's continual distress).

So, it was with some trepidation that I ordered what was essentially my first new pen in over 10 years from Brian. I went even further out on a limb and decided upon an ivory colour. I have now been using the pen (photo attached) for only a few days and am delighted with it's look, weight, balance and smoothness of the broad nib.

After nearly 50 years of regular ink-pen usage it is still exciting to come across a well crafted instrument, especially when you can actually correspond with the craftsman !!
