I hope you enjoy the pen and forgive the photography and penmanship - I was in a rush and all I had was scattered natural light. In short the pen exceeds all my expectations. Thanks to Bexley and of course to Richard Binder!

Cheers,
NM

My Corona arrives tomorrow (at least I hope so!).

BTW: for a little humor, should we write a song in tribute to this pen? We could use the tune of the old 80's song so that, instead of "My Shirona," we could each sing our appreciation for "My Corona!"

Just a thought.

Perhaps the biggest surprise to me was the heft of the pen. Bexleys tend to be the lighter of my pens, but the Corona feels more like a Pelican 800 series. It isn't heavy, but has the density of a quality pen.

This new bBxley Corona is really tempting me. I love the look of the bexleys, and they're very reasonably priced too. I was pulled away though, cause they were all c/c fillers... Until now!

For only $150.00, I really should add one to the collection... Posted Image I may have to sell off some other pens though...

Thanks for putting this temptation right in front of me... Posted Image

BTW - you really captured the pen int hat last shot. Looks fabulous! I know what color I want now...

Need a pen repaired or a nib re-ground? I'd love to help you out.

I'm annoyed by the money poured into making an Aurora box.

Heh. . . I was just thinking something similar about OMAS. Not to mention the space it takes to store them.

I don't see a thing wrong with the Bexley box.

They are a bit too nice. Why do we need to store them (although we do)?

I think the Bexley box is a bit generic, but I wouldn't want them to put a ton of effort into anything different. If anything, I'd prefer a somewhat smaller box, perhaps made of plastic.

I think Parker has a plastic, clamping sort of box.

I was actually thinking something more along the lines of TWSBI.

TWSBI does make a nice box. I don't care about cheap boxes - they take up less space. I have a big ole box for one of those new Parker 51 lookin pens and it's just ridiculous. Even some of the Pelikan boxes are silly. I'm glad Bexley doesn't go all out nuts with their boxes. A simple generic box. Perfect.

NM,

Self restraint? Is that Greek? hahaha.....

Great review. I have a quick question. Is the piston made of metal parts like the Pelikan 800 or is the piston made with plastic parts like the Pelikan 400?

Congratulations on the pen!

The color swatch of the blue over at Richard's site didn't quite grab me but your pics make me reconsider. Blueberry was my first instinct but this looks really elegant!
