We've been advised that the first shipment of Coronas is on its way. We will begin shipping this exciting new pen toward the end of this week.

When mine comes, I'll let you know. It's in the mail.

I'm betting more than one turn.

I'm not sure WHY I had thought it was in the mail. My error. I probably thought I was talking about my Falcon.. That said, it is indeed in the mail as of yesterday. I may order a second if I like it!

My only wish is to get a version that was more rounded, not crazy about flat tops...

This is the first Bexley pen that has excited me. I just bought one in Lemon with a bottle of pen flush. I'm getting the steel nib in broad. I was contemplating buying one of the Postals eventually, but in my case it seems Bexley cannibalized a sale for Gate City.

I wonder if any of the Meisternibs units would fit?

No, they use the same plastic parts that Edison uses.

You can, however, disassemble the units and swap the actual nibs. It's not too hard, although it does require a bit more care in handling them, in order to avoid knocking the tines out of alignment and make sure it goes back together with the nib and feed correctly positioned.

Richard & All,

This well priced pen has jumped up near the top of my 'to buy list', but I would like to say that if Bexley put a Piston Filling Americana/Doric look-a-like on the market, I would buy one in each and every colour made, even if I had to sell my left leg!!! :notworthy1: Please!!! :roflmho:

Looks like your out of stock in Summer Storm right now. Will you be getting any in stock soon? Am I correct that Richard Binder provides a service by testing out the pens before shipping so that the pen is thoroughly checked before being shipped?

Oh my gosh I hope they get more of this pen in so that I can buy it! :( This is what I get for "thinking" before I "buy" :(

Any word on the stubs that were supposed to be available in September? Did I miss them?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
