BIG ISSUE!!!! PLEASE READ!!

Recommended Posts

Ok, I recently added a ton of new reviews to the section but I found out that I reached the maximum allowed space for a topic. So In adding the new reviews, I lost some old ones. I am sorry but it is not often that people reach the maximum alloted space for a topic.

So I lost all the reviews from W-Z. So this is where I need your help!! If you know of any W-Z reviews that either you have wrote or know of, please PM me and send me the link of the review and the name of the pen. I will start the recovery process and with your help, we can get this review section up and running again.

Thanks for your help and support!!

Again, I am sorry!!

Thanks

First of all, let me say I very much appreciate all the work you've done in supporting the reviews board. I wonder if there's a way to "archive" the old posts like what's been done in the MarketPlace - that way you may be able to buy yourself some space?

I found it to be easier to keep everything on one page. Instead of having multiple threads, I just created a reply post under the review topic thread. So the First post has A-M and right below it, the next post has N-Z. I find it easier for people to navigate using one thread because they wont have to hit the back button and click on another link to give them the other half of the list. All they have to do is go further down the list to find what they are looking for.

I will leave it the way it is for the next week or so and then I will post a poll to see what everyone wants. This will give everyone time to try out this format. If the poll shows that people want a change, then I will do what everyone wants. Since this is everyones Fountain Pen Review Section, for the most part, Majority Rules and I will go with what everyone wants.

I hope this helps.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
