While it isn't nuke-proof, I find Noodlers Habanero to offer quite good water resistance.

Interesting, because there is no claim that it is....go figure.

Catfish orange is a highlighter type orange.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I ended up getting Rohrer & Klingner SketchINK Carmen. Its shading is heavily dependent on the paper used. Here it is with Muji's recycled-paper notebook, but it's also okay with Midori MD cream-colored and Rhodia 80gsm white. It's just passable with Life Noble cream-colored. It doesn't shade well with Midori MD white or Rhodia 90gsm cream-colored.

I love R&K because I think they make good stuff for a good price, I hope you enjoy your Carmen as I did :)

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
