Wanted ~ Kaweco Sport

I need some help!

My Mother has fixed her eyes on my metallic green Kaweco Sport, suggesting (actually, telling me) she would like it for Mother's Day. Now, I love my mother, and I would give her not only the shirt off my back but also my green Kaweco, but I'd rather get another one so we can both carry one of these little pens around.

So, if you have one or more of the metallic green Kaweco Sport, or any other color of the basic model (not the AL or other more expensive ones), shoot me a PM and we'll see if a trade can be worked out.

I have a few pens we could work with on a trade, including the following. Some have more value than others, so depending on how many Kawecos you can offer for which pen, some cash might need to flow one way or the other to even things out. Let me know. Thanks, DAVID

Hi I would like give you a suggestion. :eureka:

Why not buy a metallic rollerball, then replace the rollerball tip with a fountain pen bottom?

I am not sure whether it will work. I do not only a Kaweco rollerball, so I am not sure whether the rollerball and FP are compatible..

But if your mother do not mind a rollerball, just give her the metallic ball rollerball, it will save you all these hustles to look for a metallic green FP. http://cgi.ebay.com.hk/KAWECO-SPORT-ROLLERBALL-PEN-in-METALLIC-GREEN-NEW-/310278618167?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item483e0bfc37#ht_2944wt_907

Btw im not the seller, I just happen to find it when I typed Kaweco on ebay.

I have traded with a great FPNer in Australia: purple ink for a Kaweco Sport Ice with green cap.

I am still looking for a metallic green (cap and body) Kaweco Sport, so if one is out there sitting a draw and not being used, let me know and we'll see if something can be worked out.

Thanks, cecilchow, for the suggestion about switching a RB section for a FP section. That might work, but I'm not sure I want to buy a couple of different pens on the chance the sections match up. Now if you want to buy one, do the switch, and then trade that with me, well then ... Just kidding. Thanks again.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
