Stipula - New Versions

LMO

Recommended Posts

I've seen recently, a new version of Stipula Etruria, called Voyeur. It looks like a black resin piston filler Etruria , but with some ink windows slits on the barrel.

No other details were available, so, if someone already have it, or have more information, please post a review.

That's interesting.

I've not heard about it and I couldn't find it by doing a simple Google search. Do you have any pictures, or a link to a website that does?

Thanks, Susanna. Would you please let us know when you have pictures of the finished product?

That is a very attractive pen. I agree with stevlight that it has got it all.

Well, maybe, nearly all.....I'm almost afraid to ask how much it will be priced at.

I've seen it, on a seller page. Here it is - link to Novelli .

In addition to this Etruria Voyeur, I've noticed two new T Model vesions: Malachite and Azzurrite, as well as a new Da Vinci, called Leonardo, kind as an Amerigo Vespucci, but made from olive wood instead of tek, and of course a different trim.

Thanks, LMO. Eur567 on the Novelli site...sigh. :(

Scratch my back with a hacksaw! That's a lot more than I paid last year for my Amber (current production), purchased new.

I like the idea of the ink window, even if it doesn't look so good in the photos of the Voyeur. But at that price, count me out...unless Susanna does a super weekend sale at 50% off. :roflmho:

You're in the US, so you don't have the pay 20% VAT. Mr. Ink and LMO are in EU countries, so they are quoting with VAT.

Setting the country on Novelli's site factors in whether the prices are given with or without VAT.

Thanks --I did not know that.

Hope the price can come down some.

Just asked Stipula. The pen will be ready not before the end of April.

Two months of waiting, everything could change; this is a prototype.

*Looks away. Invokes Nakaya Intervention.*

OK I will try a MB 149 intervention--I feel a little protected.

I think I will start saving anyway.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
