I've Lost My Twsbi :(

Typical, I just get it working as I want it and then go and lose the pen. :crybaby:

I last used it on Tuesday afternoon at work and haven't seen it since. I have looked everywhere too.

It may still turn up, I have lost a pen for several weeks before only for it to reappear.

I won't hurry to replace it partly because it may turn up but with Christmas, there's more than enough to spend money on.

If I do replace it, I will either wait for the broad nib version or get a medium and buy a Pelikan broad nib with it or even just wait for the vac-filler.

Still, it's really annoying as it was my most used pen at the moment which must say something. :(

Oh, my godness!!

It's big lost indeed! Not for the money, which is relatively cheap, but it's an awsome pen for sure! I hope you get it back!!

Thanks for your thoughts, I definitely have a sense of loss. It was not expensive but it was one of the original 300, so had some meaning to me.

That's rotten luck. I hope it turns up.

That's the downside of buying invisible pens. I hope it turns up...

I used to lose a lot of Uniball pens from my desk by "borrowers" so I put a label on each cap, "Return to Bookkeeper". Most of them would eventually be returned to me. Some borrowers may be absent-minded or forgot (or don't care) where they got their "new" pen. Deliberate thievery is different.

Considering that TWSBI's are built like tanks, at least it will be in great shape whenever YOU find it. So, perhaps they'll be a day when you're feelin' blue and you'll stumble upon it. You'll open it up, touch it's nib to paper, and it'll work and feel as good as it did when you last used it.

This is exactly my concern with buying this pen, that it will get swiped! Not at work mind you, I've never had one walk off there. However, my sweet wife regularly walks into my office at home and says "oooh pretty" and attempts to sneak away with one of my pens! :)

I'm a teacher and I have had pens 'borrowed' by pupils before on what they consider as a permanent loan. That's the trouble with shiny unusual objects, they have a certain almost magnetic attraction to some. I have sometimes got them back when they have been grassed on by others. :P

HAHAHA! ROFL! Very unfortunate though... People tend to think of transparent

demonstrators as "cheap". I would be very very sad if my Pro Gear demo should

disappear...

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
