Since it was a video... and looking over your shoulder I spied the ?4 pen vertical pen holder?

Any details on that please? Sizes... does it work for 'to hand' pens etc?

TIA Dave

It holds three pens. I made it. :happyberet:

And very nice too.

Definitely one for the winter evenings.

Thanks

Dave

Got my Creapers in this morning and I can't wait to put them through the paces today. Creapers, meet Bay State Blue and Dark Matter. Testing on both Rhodia paper and regular legal pads today. Both are laying down lovely, F nib lines. On the Rhodia there is no noticeable squeak of the roller nibs anymore than usual rollerball writing. On the legal pad, there is an increase in squeakiness in the one filled with Dark Matter.

This is going to be a fun Monday.

Yes, please publish a review. I would really like to see it. I'm no inventory expert, but with all the buzz surrounding this, you'd think someone other than isellpens.com would start carrying. I know that jetpens has carried other noodler's pens. Any chance they get this? I would like to get it and a bottle of BSB and save on the shipping, being over $25!

Thanks Dizzy,

Cool pen, first time I've seen one and nice review :bunny01:

I couldn't help but notice your desk pad. I'm in the market for one and debating between a flat leather desk blotter versus a more traditional desk pad that takes blotter paper.

3rd day with the Creapers with Bay State Blue and Dark Matter, and they are leaking just a little. I understand from the accompanying literature that we have to keep the fil more than half full or screw down the piston, but the ink level in both pens are above half full.

The Dark Matter one is leaking less, only blopping through the tip very occasionally.

The BSB one is leaking a bit more, both through the tip and where the section meets the barrel. I've got BSB spots on my hand and have had to wipe droplets from the cap. This is not a constant-blop-of-ink kind of leak, more of a surprise-didn't-see-that-drop kind of leak.

They are still writing very nicely (no ink blop on the page), but the blue-spotted hands is a little inconvenient at work.

i haven't had any leak problems w/BSB or Dark Matter (that is my favorite black :) ). What I am having a problem with is turning down the piston WITHOUT having ink expel. any thoughts?

No leaking for me with Bad Blue Heron, but I have mine screwed down so that I don't have an air bubble in the barrel. I have to do the same with my Dollar 717i. It's all to do with the feed design and the non-insulated barrel.

As to how to screw the piston down without getting ink coming out... not possible. Swaddle the nib in paper towel to catch the ink. That's what I do.

The leakiness is not a big problem, really, one just needs to be aware of it. It could also just be that one pen. I will try screwing down the piston and see if that improves matters.

Anyone willing to provide pictures of writing samples? The video is great but I want more!!!

My color scanner is down at the moment. Will certainly post one when I get it fixed.

Day 4. Having donned gloves and screwed down the piston on both Creapers, no further leakage was observed.

I went through a marathon writing session using both pens for 4 hours last night. I noticed that the BSB Creaper, even if I left it uncapped for minutes, picked right up and wrote with no problems. This is an improvement over other pen/BSB pairings (there is usually some hesitation when the BSB FP is left uncapped).

Happy Creaper-ing!

Thanks to Schwab 0802 and Joshua, I've got a couple on order from Todd at isellpens. Looking forward to using one in bulletproof black at work and BSB at home. Hovefully the Black will satisfy the Medicare chart auditors. Thanks everyone for heads up on this new pen. I'd like a finer line than I'm getting with my Kwaeco Sport. Jim

Mine came today and before filling it, i noticed that I could pull the feed out with relative ease. Anyone else have the same situation? When I reinsert the feed, it almost looks like it is the tiniest bit crooked to one side. We'll see once I ink it up

Based on the

videos about the pens I think that an easily removable feed is a desired thing. This allows the feed and bib to go into a vintage pen with a barrel of the same diameter, allowing for a lever fill rollerball, or bulb filler, etc. B)

I've received mine and realized that it's quite a dry writer. I started off filling it with Diamine Prussian Blue and that was not a good combination. After a refill with Noodler's Midnight Blue it works well, still a bit on the dry side, though.

The "nib" (ball) writes like a F or XF.

I have a second pen that I'll try out this weekend to see if there's any difference in performance.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
