Twsbi Inspiration

IonutZ

Recommended Posts

Well hello there!

So a couple of days ago I acquired a TWSBI pen and it has inspired me to create a song, song's called Twizby and I thought I'd share it with you guys since this forum's the reason I bought a TWSBI in the first place :)

Genre: Progressive House

I hope there's electronic music fans around here, I'm most likely going to push this song to a label, I've been getting great feedback from outstanding DJ/producers across the nation, this is the product of the 2nd day working on this tune:

John Caza - Twizby (Fountain Pen Network Mixdown)

Enjoy,

John Caza

very cool. It wouldn't directly stream, but when downloaded it played fine. Well done!

The HAL9000 bit was actually inspired by the case design of my current desktop computer. A quad-core Lenovo K100, it has a giant glowing red LED on the front of the case. People immediately associate it with HAL's "eye."

Wow, this is so cool!

Some idea of twsbi is inspired by Apple, yes.

and this song is inspired by twsbi. This is really cool.

so the twsbi slogan " Inspired by Writing" is starting to work.

Great job!notworthy1.gif

I wonder if you will allow me to play it in some proper situation as back ground music, like if twsbi has attend an exhibition and so on?

Wow.. that is a sweet case! Looking at the specs for the computer. So that is a power dial? Hmmmmmm....

Heh. The "power dial" is supposed to throttle down the CPU usage or some such...I haven't noticed that it does a dang thing, other than change the color of the "breathing" LED from red to blue to green. Right now, while writing this, the CPUs are running 1.6 GHz (instead of 2.4 GHz). Turning the "power dial" doesn't change that. The CPUs only kick up to 2.4 GHz when I'm doing video editing or stuff like that.

Kind of a moot point, since the "power dial" is wired directly into the power supply, and I'm getting ready to replace it with a 650 watt supply...the LED is probably going to go away, at least the "breathing" part of it.

Yeah, I have a boost button on my case that does about nothing as well. I wonder if the dial can be worked into a control for fan speed instead. Anyway... off topic chatter

Maybe mount a TWSBI button in the center of the LED...

etoyoc, it shouldn't be more than 3 wires to solder to achieve a fan speed control instead!

Just wire up a bunch of high-output red LED's and a microcontroller to do PWM, so you can have a slowly pulsating red light... :D

  • 2 months later...

I'm going to revive this thread with a quick update:

Twizby has been signed to label Progrezo Records (under a new track name Cartagena, due to copyright purposes)! :) I will post a link once the Brazilian-based label publishes the track (they promised this week)! So I'm super :ninja:ed about this and now considering fitting the TWSBI with a 14ct gold nib!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
