Delta Dolce Vita

This review is hand written with the pen in question. Please excxuse the spelling mistake MRSP instead of MSRP, I work with MRSA ( methicillin resistant staphylococcous aureus and I guess the first three letters are burned into my brain).

Links to my review are below and I opted to put links to Bryant Greer's photos since they are so much better than mine.

When I look at my writing I am embarrassed. Please imagine your own beautiful script instead of mine.

This is one fabulous pen, and I have owned and used enough over the years to say this with authority.

This year I bought the same pen (including nib size) from SpeerBob and agree with all your points concerning the beauty, nib quality, and flow in this pen. I also find the ink window lovely--I like them large, and I don't mind the yellow at all. This autumn I mixed up a red-orange ink and filled the pen with it; I'll let you know if I've stained the poor thing. And finally, like you, I thought the pen was too sumptuous to take to work. And yet now it's a constant companion. I just couldn't leave it at home, even for a few hours. My wife thinks I'm like Gollum in Lord of the Rings: "My Preeecious!"

I am dismayed to read that you haven't had a good experience with your Nakaya--especially since that is the pen (specifically an Equilibrium) I'm saving up for.

So this is the pen you were talking about. I've had my eye on this pen, but also have my eye on my bank account. This is really beautiful. Congratulations. I expect your next letter to be written with it.

Phone calls last just minutes, emails get deleted, but letters live forever.

Thanks for the great review (it was certainly worth deciphering)!

Respectfully disagreeing since 1978.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
