Ah, would it also fit the large Exacompact basic journal/sketchbook ? They measure 5 1/2" x 8" x 3/4".

I think that'd fit in the Large Moleskine Cover, but not having tried it personally I couldn't guarantee it. The large Moleskine is 5.3" x 8.3" x .7". My guess is with the slightly shorter width but the slightly larger spine that it would balance out well enough. You'd have more space between the top of the cover and the journal itself, but it'd only be .15" more on each side which is fairly negligible.

Thanks for the info. Just in case I ordered one of each :roflmho:

Please post how the Exacompta basics journal works out in the Moleskine cover, I may pick up one up just for that purpose.

Will do, in fact I'm planning to post a a complete review for both of the notebook covers

Any chance you've tried the Exacompta Basics journal in your cover yet?

Not yet. They should be delivered here in about one week (Customs here in Brazil are very slow), then I will post my findings ASAP ;)

Mine is wearing in nicely, now. The Webbie fit is generous enough that several variants may fit. Molies are too small to fit neatly.

Just glad you haven't forgotten. If the Basics journal fits I am so ordering one after the new year. :puddle:

So now that everyone aside from perhaps the international orders have received their covers, how are you liking them?

Loving mine! It is one of the few covers I have used that does not interfere with the way I use my journals. It is rugged, and has a classic elegance that is tough to define.

I think it is the best value for the dollar as far as covers go. And the craftsmanship is second to none!!!!

I'm hoping to pick one of these up in the new year when they're offered again but has anyone tried the Exacompta Basic journal in the Moleskine cover yet? That would be the perfect combo for me.

I'm sorry for taking so long to post my thoughts about the InkLeaf covers and the Exacompacta Basic Journal/Sketchbook. I've been very busy for the past few weeks, but here's at last my short review about it.

Firstly, I have to say that I'm very happy about the leather covers from InkLeaf. The nice, smooth leather screams and smells top quality, and the handwork is also topnotch. I just feel that these covers will easily outlive me and my grandkids will fight over them after I'm gone.

I ordered two covers of the large size, one in Buffalo color for my Moleskine sketchbook and another in Mahogany color made for the Rhodia Webnotebooks, but which I intended to use with my Exacompacta journals.

I've found the Rhodia cover to fit the Exacompacta notebooks very well ! Perhaps it could be just a bit smaller, but in my opinion it's already perfect for my liking.

The Moleskine cover, as expected, fits nicely with the Moleskine notebooks, and the loophole for the elastic closure is very useful to keep my sketchbook protected. But I've found that it is a bit too tight for the Exacompacta journals, and even though you can squeeze it inside the leather cover, it will bend the external notebook covering to close properly.

After all I'm very satisfied with my leather covers, and I'm sure they will age nicely during many years to come

And now here are some photos:

The Exacompacta notebook fits nicely in the Rhodia cover:

It also lays flat when open, which is great when writing on different surfaces:

Although the Exacompacta notebooks do not come with an elastic closure, you could use one of those Quo Vadis elastic bands for that purpose, but I use it without any closures just fine:

The top notebook is also an Exacompacta but inside the Moleskine leather cover. As you can see, the covering bends a bit when closed, but if that doesn't bother you then you could use it with Exacompacta as well:

A nice additional bonus about the Mahogany cover is that it matches my Saddleback Leather briefcase perfectly :D

That's it, I hope you would find this helpful, just ask me if you want to know more about the covers or take more photos, I will be happy to do that

Thanks so much for the response and excellent pictures! Good to know the Moleskine cover is slightly tight, I'll have to get one of the Webbie covers then I think. They're such great looking covers!

You can find them here: http://www.saddlebackleather.com/categories/79-Briefcases/products/1655-Leather-Briefcase-Chestnut

I have the extra-large one and it's simply the best (and probably the last) briefcase that I will ever have. Yes, they're expensive, but this briefcase carries the true meaning of "you get what you pay for" ;)

We've been so busy making covers and new products that I haven't checked back here in a while. We're glad to see our covers being enjoyed! It also kind of gives Steff and I a special joy to see them "in the wild" because we recognize the individual covers we've made. If anyone has any questions, I'd be happy to address them.

Your etsy site says you are on vacation...how do I order from you and find prices sizes etc? These look great, I am interested in getting one for my soon to arrive exacompta journals.

Hi Dave,

I responded to the PM you sent me, but for the benefit of anyone with the same question, we're selling our covers through our own site now at www.inkleafleather.com. We just sold out today, but more are coming soon. We haven't been able to keep anything in stock for longer than 5 hours since we started up for the year.
