Manuscript calligraphy nibs fit perfectly.

You can buy the fountain pen sets from a few £s (don't get the dip nibs) and the nibs just ease out and transfer straight in to the Noodler's pens.

I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering...

has anyone confirmed that the nibs in the inexpensive Manuscript calligraphy sets can be pulled out and put in a Noodler's Nib Creaper (and I guess that would also mean in a Noodler's Charlie)?

How about any other italic or stub nibs that have been successfully transplanted into these pens?

The flex nib is too stiff for me so I'd use the pen a lot more if I had an italic or stub nib in it.

I have had very good success putting a TWSBI Eco/Mini nib on my Charlie pen, which I believe would work for a Nib Creaper.

Juicy writer.

Writes like a dream on Tomoe RP.

I was recommended to give the Karas Kustoms Fountain K nib a try, but right now The Eco/Mini nib is working.

A flexy Waterman Ideal #2 on a Noodler?!! I don't quite know what to say...

I have a couple spare waterman ideal #2 wet noodles. One spent a brief time in a noodlers charlie before I found it a home in a chinese lecai eyedropper.

The other is waiting for the noodlers safety pen.

Selling a boatload of restored, fairly rare, vintage Japanese gold nib pens, click here to see (more added as I finish restoring them)

I am curious about that pen.

I actually am using an FPR 5.5 nib on my charlie now and it's working great. Only $3, though they can be hit or miss, but I have had good success with their medium nibs, which can write like fines and typically write like Medium Fines.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
