This is exciting. Especially the new nib units. Will we be able to purchase the Bock nibs separately and individually for our current Diamonds?

Those new seals would seem to be much more effective, given the apparent increase in surface area contacting the wall of the barrel... good news!

So, since many of us already have the first generation pens, will the various potential parts (nibs, etc.) be available for individual purchase?

Missed it by THAT much...

I foresee a pen drawer with about a dozen clear demo 530s. Especially with those titanium flex nibs! Not so keen on the tinted barrels myself but I'm sure they will be popular.

My jaw just hit the floor. I was going to send my Sheaffer Intrigue to be ground to an XXF as my christmas present to myself, but if the new colors and nibs are ready to go by then I may have to get a TWSBI instead. I'm drooling over the far left color. Would go with my PR blue suede ink so perfectly.

All these weeks I tried to resist all the TWSBI hype but I gave up after those pictures!

I will have to discuss in detail with Bock to confirm the right one to use then purchase from them, they have all kind of nibs and line width...

I am certainly geeking out about this. I hope you offer the nib units to upgrade our pens; however, I can see buying a second TWSBI in the future.

How close are we to getting the new seals out to those who have the leaking older version?

Ooh, while the colors do not interest me (I'm a clear man myself, when it comes to translucents. Let the ink be the color), but the titanium nib looks sexy. Would love to see how they write.

You'll definitely be getting an order from me coming up.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
