BTW I saw a couple people saying their clips were really loose... specifically the video review going around... by watchart I believe it is...

I just would like to mention my clip is SOLID... I mean SOLID... more so than almost any other pen I own, including my $150+ pens... might have been an adjustment in production, or possibly his and others were just loose (first 300 run I think they were?)... just wanted to mention.

I just recently landed my Twsbi after some USPS drama... mine is of those first 300. The clip is solid on mine. I must say I'm very impressed with the pen overall, it compares very favorably with the Pelikan pens I find it to be most similar too.

I have had mine in permanent rotation for over two weeks now. Everything that should be is tight. No leakage and it writes great! I got the medium nib, but it writes like a pelikan fine, which is perfect for my small handwriting. I am sure you will enjoy yours also.

Okay, now I'm set on getting one of these pens biggrin.gif. Hopefully they might be selling them at the D.C. Pen Show. Love your choice of ink by the way!

Need a pen repaired or a nib re-ground? I'd love to help you out.

Want to buy mine? it is an extra fine nib, writes like a Pilot medium and leaks like a sieve, fore and aft?

I love mine... you'll like it ;) If you get a leaking one, speedy is fixing the issue by sending out new pistons/barrels when they are finished.

Mailed him on the 14 and 15th of last month. It is a cheap pen, and not really worth all that effort to keep naggin about a fix, if and when it ever shows up. Then I still have to go through the motions of fixing it my self. But the time it rolls around I will have more of my labor and time invested in this pen than it cost. I will give it a few weeks and then purchase one of the ebay if I get interested again. It is less expensive now, even with all the ebay fees, than I paid on the preorder.

So how does it write? The photo with the written words looks somewhat pale or scratched?

Well I have the EF so it's rather thin... seems a tad thinner than my EF lamy safari.

As far as pale... it's the ink and the fact that what I wrote for the picture was the first sentence I wrote after I loaded the ink up.

I don't find it scratchy at all... not smooth as butter, but a good middle ground. I dislike nibs that are SUPER smooth... just not my style so I might be slightly biased as I find some nibs that folks think are scratchy just to my liking.

Never catches on the paper during upstrokes or anything like that.

I would by no means call this the best pen made... but I would put it in my top 3 favorites and I've only had it a day so far. I am the person that likes the more "modern" looking pens though, and something that is somewhat of a workhorse.

My collection includes safari's, vanishing points, m90, lamy 2000, etc.... all pretty modern looking... this pen fits in nicely and is my first demonstrator.

Forgot to mention....

THERE IS NO FLEX

I mean NONE... at all. I enjoy writing with the Pilot M90, another absolutely no flex pen, as it's all molded one piece (nib into barrel)... so I don't mind that. Some folks were shocked at how stiff the nib was though... just a heads up.

Didn't take me three minutes... I still have no parts to fix it. If I sell it can the new buyer request parts to fix it?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
